We recently added an awesome fire pit area to the side of our barn. It is a great space to hang out under the trees and twinkle lights and watch a movie on the projector screen. As you know, Fall is my favorite time of year and I couldn’t wait to get this area decorated […]
Here is an easy Fall project for you that doesn’t cost a lot! These trees add a colorful pop on our front porch and at night they turn magical! HOW TO: Grab a planter or urn that you already have for the bases. Next we trimmed two tomato cages we already had to the height […]
It’s time for my favorite project of the year! Our Halloween front porch! When Old Time Pottery asked me to do a Halloween porch three years ago I was a little nervous. I was afraid I couldn’t do it without it being tacky. It turned out to be one of my most popular posts ever! […]
I started a YouTube channel! For my first video, I created this cute ghost vase and flower arrangement. Check out my tutorial below! Please subscribe to see new projects weekly! If you don’t have YouTube, here’s a quick summary of this DIY- I started by grabbing a white vase I already owned and I added […]
Take a trip with me to Coastal Italy. Imagine wine sipping, cheese tasting and fresh seafood. There are so many beautiful sights to take in.
That is exactly what I had in mind when creating this tablescape. For this one, I wanted something summery and romantic. Colorful and fun inspired by the Mediterranean.
One of the first items I saw at Old Time Pottery was this blue and white pitcher. It reminded me of the beautiful Italian tiles Ive seen in pictures of the mediterranean. That immediately made me think of summer. From there I knew I wanted to go with blue and white.
I added lemons and oranges for color and theme. Then I placed bright red tomatoes from our garden for another pop of pretty color.
I love this wooden bowl I found for the fruit.
Instead of a runner I went with two faux greenery garlands. Then I placed oranges along it for more color.
I found these beautiful blue glass lanterns at Old Time Pottery that went great with my theme! I put fresh flowers in the large one and battery operated candles in the two smaller ones (which I also purchased the candles there). These smaller blue candle holders added just enough sparkle to the table in the evening.
The glow of the all the candles made this table so dreamy at night.
Old Time Pottery has a huge selection of dinnerware in many colors and styles. These white dishes will go great with any table setting. They are also melamine which is perfect for outdoor dining.
Along with dishware, they also have a ton of glassware and serving ware. I loved the different shapes of the pretty oil and vinegar bottles. They also added to the Mediterranean look.
The wooden riser and small tasting bowls are also from Old Time Pottery. These bowls are so versatile. I have several and always have a good use for them.
You can’t have a table like this without a charcuterie board in my opinion! Instead of the usual flat board, I went with this cake plate to add height.
(Some little people took bites out of my prop lol.)
For the bread board I I purchased this lovely marble cutting board.
I love the pops of white with all of the colors.
Blue napkins to compliment the blue and white colorscheme.
And last but not least, this glass bottle is a fancy way to serve your water at your dinner party. Thanks Papi for the tip you gave me a few years ago. 😉
I love how the light reflects off all of the glass on this table.
I hope that this gave you some different ideas to think about when creating your next table! Thank you so much for taking this trip to Italy (or Sicily) with me!
Everything you see here (besides the food) can be purchased at Old Time Pottery! Big thanks to them for providing me with all of this great decor!
