We are welcoming Spring to our home this week with a bit of new decor from Old Time Pottery! I decided to refresh the entry table first since it’s the first thing you see as you come in the house. This is one of my favorite spaces to change up for the seasons. As always, […]
Before I start this post I just want to say I am not an artist by any means! I kept seeing these textured art pieces all over Pinterest and thought maybe I can make one! I do not have the thousands of dollars to spend on a piece of art. Plus I don’t want to […]
With all of the rain we’ve had lately I’m expecting a super turn out of flowers this Spring! Since it’s been so gloomy lately, I decided to cheer up the indoors with some faux florals. My favorite place for seasonal décor, Old Time Pottery, has some of the prettiest Spring florals! I just love the […]
Today I’m sharing with you this easy DIY Rustic Candlestick Holder. When I saw this on Liz Marie Blog I knew it would look great in our dining room! It makes a big statement but is still simple and sleek. Plus all of these candles add a cozy glow perfect for winter. This was super […]
Are you ready for Fall?? I sure am. Especially the cooler temps. I changed over some of my decor already to Fall and Halloween. I thought I could show you how easy and affordable it can be when you shop at Old Time Pottery!
I always start with a blank slate when Im decorating for a new season. When I went shopping at Old Time Pottery, they had the cutest terra cotta and grey colored pumpkins! They reminded me of the ones we painted last year.
First I just sat them on the mantle.
These were cute, especially with the artwork but it needed something soft against all the brick. I loved these pom type florals!
These stems gave just enough softness and texture. I also found mini versions of these pumpkins at Old Time Pottery. They went so good in this black tray.
I also changed out my throw pillows to a warm brown and plaid.
I carried the terra cotta color to the little shelf in the corner.
I kept things pretty simple in this area. I love seasonal decor but sometimes it can feel cluttery. If you notice, I picked a few black accents like the tray and candle sticks. These will transition so easily for Halloween. Let me show you!
I kept the same pumpkins and just changed the stems to black florals. I also kept the table decor and added a cute ghost strand of beads.
Another easy change is throw pillows! I kept the brown pillows and added these cool black and white skull pillows.
Here’s a closer look at the mantle.
I love it like this but I wanted to make it a little spookier so I added skeleton arms!
I love them! Just enough creepiness…or is it?
Old Time Pottery had so much Halloween decor, I just kept getting more.
This black fabric upped the spooky! Which way do you like it?
Oh I also changed out one of the terra cotta vases for this skeleton hand candle holder.
I’m really loving the neutral halloween trend. It’s much easier to incorporate some spooky items into your everyday decor.
I hope this helps you when you start decorating for Fall and Halloween! You don’t have to redo everything to switch to Halloween. Get your base colors and pieces then just change out a few items to get that spooky look. Old Time Pottery is a great place to do all of this affordably!
I’d love to know which look you like best? Do you prefer Fall or Halloween?
Thank you so much to Old Time Pottery for providing me with this great decor for the season!
