Here is an easy Fall project for you that doesn’t cost a lot! These trees add a colorful pop on our front porch and at night they turn magical!

HOW TO:

Grab a planter or urn that you already have for the bases.

Next we trimmed two tomato cages we already had to the height we wanted the trees to be. If you don’t have tomato cages, you can purchase them at your Co-op or hardware store for little cost.

We secured the cages to the urns with electrical tape and zip tied the tops together for a tree shape.

Next I started wrapping orange lights around the cages. Just start at the top and work your way down.

They pretty much stay where you put them without any tape.

After the lights, I started wrapping these inexpensive leaf garland around the cages.

Both the lights and garlands are from Old Time Pottery.

These trees took two garlands a piece. It depends on your cage height and the fullness you want. These garlands also intertwined with each other so they were easy to secure. I just kept wrapping until I got to the bottom.

I love how they turned out! They really brightened up our porch with Fall colors. I used inexpensive garlands just in case they got damaged by weather.

They are so fun during the day but at night they really GLOW! I used orange string lights instead of white and they look like they’re on fire!

These would be great with purple or red leaves too.
