We recently added an awesome fire pit area to the side of our barn. It is a great space to hang out under the trees and twinkle lights and watch a movie on the projector screen. As you know, Fall is my favorite time of year and I couldn’t wait to get this area decorated […]
Here is an easy Fall project for you that doesn’t cost a lot! These trees add a colorful pop on our front porch and at night they turn magical! HOW TO: Grab a planter or urn that you already have for the bases. Next we trimmed two tomato cages we already had to the height […]
It’s time for my favorite project of the year! Our Halloween front porch! When Old Time Pottery asked me to do a Halloween porch three years ago I was a little nervous. I was afraid I couldn’t do it without it being tacky. It turned out to be one of my most popular posts ever! […]
I started a YouTube channel! For my first video, I created this cute ghost vase and flower arrangement. Check out my tutorial below! Please subscribe to see new projects weekly! If you don’t have YouTube, here’s a quick summary of this DIY- I started by grabbing a white vase I already owned and I added […]
This might be one of my favorite makeovers yet! I love decorating for the girls and I’m so thankful they still let me! With them getting older, they are moving away from a “playroom” and more towards a “hangout”. A space where they can play games, watch movies, and hangout with friends.
We have the perfect spot for this upstairs in the room we finished above the garage. I had our old sofas up there but that was about it. (You’ll have to forgive them, they get a lot of wear 😉 It is a large room where they can play land be loud.
It was originally painted white, but I wanted to add something fun to the walls. The girls love chevron pattern and I’d seen people use sponges to create the look on their walls. So I made a sponge stamp basically and just started stamping. I’m all about easy. If I can do this, anyone can.
Don’t look too closely, I went kind of all over the place. Thats ok though, its not supposed to be perfect, right?
They loved this wall so much I did another wall across the room to tie everything together.
I was so happy that Old Time Pottery wanted to work together on this room makeover too!
I found so many great items there for this space I had to narrow it down! My first find was this awesome papasan chair. It is so comfy and fun.
Of course they had the cutest baskets! Perfect for holding games.
The adorable wall decor and plant/planter are from Old Time Pottery too.
I knew I wanted this to be a fun, colorful hangout and they had so many great things just for that.
How cute is this rug?! I just loved the colors and pattern. It was so easy to find fun pillows to go with it. Old Time Pottery has a rainbow of throw pillows. There are all different shapes and textures too.
The floral artwork above the sofa went with everything perfectly. I also found these pretty flowers that look just like the picture.
After I had this part of the room decorated, I started on the landing area. I moved one of my old table and chairs here so that they could do puzzles or draw.
This is the other wall that I stamped. I think its so fun.
Love all of it. You did a great job!!
