The countdown is on!  Only a few more days until the big guy slides down the chimney!  Our halls are decked, gifts bought but not wrapped 🙁

One new thing I did this year is purchase Christmas dishes!  I feel like a real adult ha!  I searched and searched and finally found these rustic whimsical ones from Kirkland’s.  They go great with our decor style and the girls love the scenes on them.

There are four scenes, a snowman, Santa, a reindeer and a snow angel.  They have wood looking trim and the arms and legs of the characters are twigs.  They came with a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl and canape dish.  Oh and a mug which I have really enjoyed having coffee with.

This is the first time I’ve ever set our table for the holidays too.  I already had our Christmas script runner and our pallet box centerpiece.  I ordered the linen napkins from amazon to compliment the dishes.

I love the farmhouse look of the linen and red stripe.

The glassware I already had too.  I didn’t have a set of eight so I alternated two sets of four!  You can make things look brand new just moving them around and adding them to different settings.

Also new this year is our Magnolia sideboard.  I was so excited to decorate it for Christmas.  I envisioned a winter wonderland scene.

I used my metal tiered tray to hold my nesting santas and a few small serving bowls.  The wooden houses I just fell in love with and you can light them up with a faux tea light inside.  The bottle brush trees and burlap bottom trees are all from Walmart.

The red fresh trees sign adds more Christmas red to the space.

What do you think?  I love the rustic woodland look with the sparkle of the the glasses and twinkle lights.

I almost forgot I covered the sideboard with a blanket of snow.  I added a strand of rice lights underneath so the snow looks like its glowing at night!
