We are welcoming Spring to our home this week with a bit of new decor from Old Time Pottery! I decided to refresh the entry table first since it’s the first thing you see as you come in the house. This is one of my favorite spaces to change up for the seasons. As always, […]
Before I start this post I just want to say I am not an artist by any means! I kept seeing these textured art pieces all over Pinterest and thought maybe I can make one! I do not have the thousands of dollars to spend on a piece of art. Plus I don’t want to […]
With all of the rain we’ve had lately I’m expecting a super turn out of flowers this Spring! Since it’s been so gloomy lately, I decided to cheer up the indoors with some faux florals. My favorite place for seasonal décor, Old Time Pottery, has some of the prettiest Spring florals! I just love the […]
Today I’m sharing with you this easy DIY Rustic Candlestick Holder. When I saw this on Liz Marie Blog I knew it would look great in our dining room! It makes a big statement but is still simple and sleek. Plus all of these candles add a cozy glow perfect for winter. This was super […]
It’s that time of year where you may be getting a little tired of your summer decor but it’s not quite time for Fall decor yet. Maybe a little less bright color and cozier textures.
That’s where neutral florals come in!
Old Time Pottery has the perfect selection of off-white and beige florals! They up the cozy feel without screaming FALL.
These cream colored leaves inspired me to make my own garland for the mantle. I love that they are leaves, but not your traditional fall colors. I cut down all my sets so that I could place them where I wanted. Then I added in these cream sunflowers and these other pretty neutral flower stems.
Old Time Pottery has so many pretty lanterns to choose from. This black one goes perfectly with our black accents. The candles that came with it put off a nice glow in the evening too.
I was able to continue with the neutral florals on the coffee table too with this adorable arrangement.
I love this beige colored glass vase! It is perfect for a lower height arrangement.
Another tip when you’re arranging faux florals-if you don’t like the greenery with it, just trim it off.
Also, don’t forget to separate your stems. It makes the arranging so much easier. I wish I had taken a pic before I trimmed the stems off the bunches. I love how this one turned out.
I also replaced our green stems with the same cream flowers on the mantle.
I added in some warmth with the earth tone vases and wood pieces. Old Time Pottery is the place to go for vases and pottery.
They have a huge selection of Fall wreaths too. This one goes perfect with all of the other neutral florals I picked.
I loved this cute black arched lantern too!
I hope this gave you some ideas on how to transition your seasonal decor when its still a little early.
My tips are:
Go neutral or simply changing from white to cream with your florals.
Add in lanterns and candles for a little cozy.
Swap your greenery for earthy colored stems.
Change out your accessories for browns or beige for a little warmth. Wooden pieces are great for this.
I like that these changes don’t scream Fall but they add in some cozy texture. You can always add in your fall colors a little later with some pumpkins!
When do you decorate for Fall?
Thank you Old Time Pottery for all of the beautiful florals and decor!
Beautiful home you have!!
Looks really good!! I like how you make your own style with the flowers.
Gorgeous! I am so excited for Fall!
Thank you! I am too!
